1. Does objectivity still exist in the media's coverage of politics? Of the major news outlets (CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC, NPR, NBC, etc.), which are the most objective and which seem to have the most bias?
I think that objectivity does still exist in the media's coverage of politics. I think that they should take out objectivity cause it seems to cause drama. Honestly in my opinion I think that CNN is the most bias, but I think all news media is bias that's why I don't watch the news that much. I just don't want to hear what they have to say.
2. How does talk radio (Rush Limbaugh, Keith Olbermann, etc.) affect your view of politics? Why?
I honestly couldn't answer how they affect my view on politics because I haven't ever listened to them. I normally listen to music if I'm in my car, and at home I never have the radio on. So I guess they haven't any affect on my view of politics at all.
3. Is media objectivity important? Why or why not?
I think that media objectivity isn't important. I think that media objectivity is what causes drama and bad news. If the would just report the news and only the news it would be better and easier to listen to/ watch. Plus if they would just report the news it would probably be over quicker. I also tend to believe that news media likes to lean toward all the negative news rather than the positive.
I commented on Ashley Pelfrey, Ian Price, and Shannon Chamber's blogs.
